Once you understand a social or environmental problem and its root causes, the next step is to identify where there may be opportunities to create meaningful change.
In this lesson, you'll explore how opportunities for social innovation can emerge from gaps in existing solutions, new technologies, policy changes, cultural shifts, or approaches that have worked in other contexts. You'll also consider why innovation doesn't always require inventing something completely new—sometimes the opportunity lies in improving, adapting, or reimagining what already exists.
As you watch, consider:
What solutions to your chosen problem already exist, and where are the gaps?
Why might current approaches not be solving the problem effectively?
What could you improve, adapt, or do differently to create greater impact?
